Here is my story:

I had been dating this boy named Cody and we were planning on getting married and then one day he made the comment he should go on a mission! It was hard at first for me to be supportive because I felt like I had already waited so long for him to come around (we had been "just friends" for about 2 years already!), I didn't want to wait two more years to get married! But I gave him my okay and he began the process of preparing to serve. While he was preparing I began wondering what I was going to do with my time, and thought about serving a mission myself! However I wanted to make sure I was going for the right reasons, so I prayed and thought about it alot. Finally I decided it was the right thing to do and I started preparing myself. In July 2009, Cody recieved his mission call to Knoxville Tennessee Spanish speaking mission. He left September 16 that same year. After he left I really started working hard to get my papers done and I just turned them in November 9th. I just got my call yesterday, the 18th! It only took 9 days to recieve my call. I was so shocked it came so fast!
Here's the kicker: I am called to serve in the Knoxville Tennessee Mission! I about died on the spot! I couldn't believe it! Why it happened this way, I have NO idea! The Lord has a sense of humor! It isn't a joke and I think the Lord has more in store for us than I ever imagined! It will be an interesting and more than likely difficult challenge! However I also feel it is a blessing for both of us! (not to mention a REALLY cool story to tell our kids if everything works out!) I will leave for the MTC January 20, 2010, and will still get home one month before he does!
I am so excited to serve, and can't wait to get out there and meet the people of Tennessee!

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord’s work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
- Elder L. Tom Perry
Ensign, Nov. 2001
