In March 2006 I published a book "Translating Scripture - The Thai Book of Mormon". This book captures the marvelous story of how the Book of Mormon was translated into the Thai language. Over the period of almost a year I spoke with Sister Srilaksana every week to develop the content of that story. Also included are 3 chapters that describe the history of the Thailand Bangkok Mission. Chapter 1 - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints enters Thailand. Chapter 4- Early struggles and accomplishments (1969-1976) and the Epilogue (1976-2006). Pictures of all mission presidents and their wives (including President Dodge) are included in an appendix. I now work for Northrop Grumman Information Technology in the Health Care Solutions area developing health information exchange technologies.
My oldest son (Robert) graduated from the University of Utah with B.A. degrees in Business Finance and Japanese. He now works for Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City in their Private Banking unit. He served in the Japan Nagoya Mission. My second son (Jared) served in the Albuquerque, New Mexico mission and is attending Salt Lake Community College. He has announced hisengagment to Melissa Sharp and they are planning a wedding in October 2008 Michael my third son (and the one most like me) returned in June 2008 from serving in the California Santa Rosa Mission. His twin sister Angela is a Junior at Utah State University majoring in Elementary Education / Deaf Education. |
