Life Stuff:
Married since 1986, 5 boys, one girl, and only one failed meal in all that time. :) (Really odd recipe from a RS enrichment night.)
My wife, Elaine (Virginia Roanoke '84-'85) is our ward librarian. For the last two years, I've been an assistant stake clerk. (Membership and Technology)
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 1999 and now I sleep on a respirator at night.
School Stuff:
B.S from BYU in chemistry (Don't work in science anymore)
M.B.A. from University of Phoenix.
I started winter 2002 on a PhD in IT Management.
Work Stuff:
Worked for ten years as a chemist. Then switched careers to the computer industry. I spent seven years around the halls at Microsoft. I worked on a number of different products and even did a stint in HR. I'm also an instructor in Information Technology and Business for the University of Phoenix.
Moved to Arizona in 2004 and held a job at the University of Arizona. The legislature didn't renew my funding so I went to work for Apollo Group, the parent company of the University of Phoenix. Last year, I moved to the Phoenix software development center of a Dutch company.
We have a little node of people with connections to Thailand in our stake; Elder Kyle Robinson, Sister Heidi Bingham (Holman), and a sister from Phichit who was baptized in the U.S. and is married to a man who served a Laotian mission in California. |
