I have been back to visit Thailand 4 times since leaving the mission field. Bangkok has grown tremendously since 1979. It was difficult to find my way around while trying to find the houses I lived in in each of my old districts. It seems that all the open spaces are now filled in with homes and businesses. On two of the visits, I stayed in President Wisit's home - what a great man who is still working as hard as he did as a missionary to help the church to grow in Thailand.
I have been living in Corvallis, Oregon since 1986. I am still with the same company I started with (CH2M HILL) right out of college. I am a civil engineer and spend most of my time developing engineering software.
My wife, Lori, and I have two children - a married daughter living in Logan, UT, and a son who is serving a mission in Lima, Peru. I have one grandchild (2 years old). |
