Mongkol also taught many elders and sisters the Thai Language in the MTC in Provo as well. He also was influential in teaching many Cambodian and Laotian refugees English.
I appreciated his teaching and service.
My condolences to his wife and children.

Thananchai and I had a good long talk on the phone and we laughed until we cried, remembering so many funny things. Hope to see him when I return to teach.

Sorry for all the confusion. There was some wrong information out there from somewhere. I have heard from Prapark O. That Tananchai is alive and well. I will talk to him soon.

I have now conflicting information about Tananchai. He may very well be alive. If anyone knows anything for certain, please let me know. Mahalo

I tried to send a message via the "In Memory" link but there was a security code problem, so I will speak my peace here. I received word that my former companion, Tananchai (not certain of last name - we did use nicknames back then - I want to say Barnarom but I really don't remember) - also known as "Thonburi Tom" who was very charismatic and energetic about the gospel, had passed away some years ago. I am not sure of any details - I did hear he was in an accident and was beaten during an assault, but I don't know if these incidents had anything to do with his passing. I would like to say some words to memorialize him after I have verified the details - so whoevr knows about this - please come forward for me and for him at this time. I know many of you are much more well informed than I am. He was my only native Thai companion. We served together creating GREAT memories in Mahasarakham. I was greatly saddened to know of his hardships. Please let me know and then I will express my memorialization for him. Thank you / Mahalo / Khaub Khun.

Josh Mcadams, formerly known as Elder Mcadams and my companion, is running in the olympics tomorrow.
He is a steeple chaser which is not an easy event(not that any of them are). Everyone needs to watch and support Josh in his run tomorrow.
