Comments: Paul Dodsworth Morris, 70, the president of the Thailand Bangkok Mission from 1973-1976, died May 6, 2003, in Vancouver, Wash. He also served as the first branch president for the first permanent branches of the Church in Jamaica (1978), and later in Moldova (1997). As a zone Leader during his full-time mission in Hong Kong (1956-1959), he initiated a language-learning program, later instituted throughout that mission and similar to that now used in missionary training centers. During his 30-year career as a federal government foreign service officer, members of branches in Asian and African cities where he was posted held regular meetings in his homes. |
