I also want to say to all my fellow missionaries and mission leaders "MALO AUPITO" and that I am still active and happy in the Church.
My wife, Vanila (or Sis. Taufa), and I have seven children from ages 1-14. We coordinate the seminary program in Laie, Hawaii.
Since the mission, I've served as Young Men President, Stake High Counselor, Bishop, and currently again as YM Pres. in the Hau'ula Sixth Tongan Ward. My wife and I would truly welcome another call to serve in Tonga as a missionary couple, but we'll see if our desire coincides with the Lord's will.
I still have very fond memories and a deep love for my mission in Tonga. They were truly wonderful years and the people I've met including members, leaders, companions, non-members have all added a part in my life and what I am today.
I hope to be able to attend any future reunions in which I might meet up again with some of them. Until then, "ALOHA!" or rather, "OFA LAHI ATU!" |
