Comments:
I came back and married my sweetheart who waited while I was gone. I finished my AA at UVSC, joined the Army National Guard, finished my BS in conservation biology at BYU, moved to Albuquerque, did an MA in Environmental Education and am now working as a Biologist for an environmental consulting firm doing NEPA work and and biological and wetland surveys for environmental construction compliance.

My wife and I have one son--Turner and a dog, Wagner. We are enjoying life in New Mexico as much as you can down here in a third -world country.

**Things change. I am in Iraq now on an 18 month tour a little outside of Baghdad in Taji. I am a sergeant with the 1st Cavalry Division. Things are wild here but I am proud to be serving the US in the Army National Guard. I should be leaving Iraq in Feb. or March of 2005. I plan on moving back to Utah and settling down in a small quiet (read: no mortars falling) town in the Cache Valley.

I am back now and we have purchased a home in sleepy College Ward, UT in Cache Valley. I work as a wildlife biologist for Cirrus Ecological Solutions (http://www.cirruses.com).

Thought you might be interested in this.

The Discovery Channel followed my brigade around Iraq while I was there. I remember seeing them several times while there including the convoy from Kuwait to Baghdad as well as several times around the base I was on.

Don't think I am featured there, but it will be interesting to see my comrades and units I served with.

If you are interested, the series begins this Saturday at 10pm on the Discovery Channel.

The website for the series is: http://times.discovery.com/convergence/offtowar/compare.html

It is the story of the 39th Separate Infantry Brigade (SIB) of the Arkansas Army National Guard. I was from a New Mexico unit attached to the 39th Support Battalion which is part of the 39th SIB.
