As far as I have heard, from very reliable sources, yes, the temple site has been approved. As far as construction beginning and things like that I haven't heard, but I have been told that they're hoping construction will be finished by summer 2006 (if you haven't already opened your Ukraine Kyiv Temple Dedication fund, you might want to start). As far as a stake, I would count it as just a rumor for now. Elder Nelson is going to be in Kyiv this next week, and last I heard he was going to take the application for a stake back to SL with him. Things could have changed, but that's how things stand as far as I heard. Hopefully I'll be getting more info soon, so keep posted.
