Comments:
Since we didn't send out any Christmas cards, pictures or newsletters this year I thought I'd update our family profile.
We have been in Clarksville Tennessee for 3 years now. We bought a house January 2006. We love it and our neighborhood. It's big enough so we have room to grow.
My husband was one of the winners of the ROTC Active Duty Option Program. This means that he goes to school full time at the local university and we still get an army paycheck and all medical benefits. Plus, we get our VA education benefits, so we pay nothing for school or books. Can't beat that. He will complete a degree in Sociology in May 2008 and will then be commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. We feel very fortunate for this career move and a better opportunity to support our growing family. With 5 boys the grocery bill is high and they aren't even teenagers yet. :-)
Our boys are 8,7,5,3,2. Our oldest was baptized this past summer. That was a neat experience for us as his parent's. All the boys are growing up healthy and strong. Our youngest was born with Spina Bifida and hydrocephalus. He is doing so well considering his condition. He wears AFO's and we have a little walker for him, so he is in the process of learning how to use it so he can walk around.
I am the Primary Chorister (the best calling ever). I love teaching the children the Primary Hymns. I just love music in general. It's a great calling for me. Speaking of music, I teach piano lessons on Friday afternoon. I have 3 students. I really enjoy that too.
Feel free to email me or write to me. I'd love to hear how all my past companions are doing. Life is definitely hard, and doesn't always turn out the way we had hoped, but the Lord is so good to us all.
