I'm studying English at BYU-Hawaii. I think I've run into kids that I've babysat...it's so ghetto. But I do love the major, although my grammar class (worthy of linguists and mensa members) is giving me a "rodney king" beat down. I've found little humor in the assignments, but the upside is that I can randomly correct people. I'm also working as a tutor at the Reading/Writing Center. It's supposed to be a prestigious job, but that only lasted until EIL students started correcting me. I haven't had this much fun since preparation day!!!

i wonder if the fire of missionary work has worn out for some. as for me, i think school and secularism are catching up with me...the missionaries came to visit my home the other day and all i did was say "hey hey" and send them off with a bottle of water. geez--shoot me. i'm on the last leg of pursuing my bachelor of arts in English. the major is funny, sometimes difficult, but always awesome. i was reminescing on zone conference and laughed out loud when i remembered the primping we as sisters went through, just to meet up with everyone else. i guess president kimball understood human nature well enough when he put forth the talk "lock your heart." not much else to say, except that i was in tonga over the summer and returned twenty pounds less, with a diluted sense of reality, and an itch that took a while to taper off. nothing like going out of country to remind you of what you have at your disposal. america truly is the land of disposable ideals, but i love it nonetheless. anyway, hope you all are doing well. if you're divorced, bitter, or less active--give yourself a hug. by the way, give me a ring if you're ever in my neck of the woods. p.s.--president and sister mcbride are going to be here next week and sister lasi and i are going to meet up with them--gasp! how exciting!!!
