Hello again everyone!!
I am just letting you know that I spoke to Pres and Sister Jones on Saturday and they confirmed that they will be at the mission reunion in April 2009 (Friday before Genl Conf) at 6 pm. They are very, VERY excited and want to see as many people there as possible of course.
If any of you are able and willing to take on some assignment, it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me if you are interested in helping.
Here are just some of the things we'd like to be able to do.
1) We'd like to be able to put together a photo slideshow compiled of pitcures from missionaries to play during the evening.
2) For missionaries who will not be able to attend for any reason, we'd like to gather video messages (if possible) for Pres & Sis Jones to play during the evening as well. If unable to send video a family picture and a letter would be fabulous.
3) Another sister is putting together a Mission memories and messages book to give to pres and sis Jones that evening so we are collecting submissions for that as well.
4) We want to have food and child care at the event (obviously) so we will need a head count of adults and children.
Each are going to require a lot of man hours so anyone who has some talent or ability in these areas, your help would be gratefully welcomed.
I cannot tell you how excited the Jones were to hear the reunion was still on, so please, please RSVP one way or the other. We aren't going to have some HUGE, agenda evening, but rather keeping it simple.
In case you have not read the post on facebook (www.facebook.com), Sis Jones has had some pretty major health issues this year,but their spirits are high as ever. Please keep them in your prayers.
