I remember a great story about Elder Bennion's example as a missionary.
Elder Bennion, was one of the most humble men I have met. He was always diligent and always gave his all as a missionary. I did notice that Elder Bennion would read the USA today, almost daily. We discussed it and as we talked he realized that reading the paper, a great love for him, might have been distracting him from the work.
I don't remember Elder Bennion reading the paper except on a P-day ever again. And I appreciated his example of obedience and repentance. |
