It is great that we have a forum to share these sorts of thoughts. I have thoroughly enjoyed catching up with so many of you. It is great to hear what you have been up to.
After the mission I returned to the UK and started university studying Business whilst working at the MTC in Preston. I also began communicating with Brooke back in Utah.
Brooke and I married back in April, 2000, 7 months after the end of my mission (Oct 1999). I went to BYU and she to UVSC, Brooke studied Paralegal Studies and I Business. I again worked at the MTC, this time in Provo.
After school I accepted a job up in Idaho Falls. We spent 1 year in Idaho Falls and then 2 and half years out in the UK with the same company. Whilst in the UK Brooke spent alot of time volunteering, serving in the church and attending the temple. I was fortunate to study for my MBA whilst in the UK and enjoyed that experience.
We have enjoyed travelling as a family, especially visiting my family back in the UK. Brooke and I have been particularly impressed with Paris as well as Austria and Switzerland.
In the church we have served in the Youth, Sunday School, High Priest Quorum, Bishoprics and most recently Brooke as the Primary President and me as a Bishop.
We are now back in Utah and have just given birth to our first two, twins, Luke and Chloe on June 28th. We live in Spanish Fork and just love being back in the mountains.
The gospel continues to be a blessing in our lives. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served a mission and to have met so many wonderful people. I am grateful to have had amazing companions, friends and a mission President and mission mom that I love dearly.
Thanks to you all, and God bless! |
