Comments:
We are still in Montana. Life gets busy, and sometimes you gotta slow down.
The past couple of yrs. have been an education of how precious time is and how fragile life is.
Two years ago after a long fight with his diabetes we lost my father at the age of 65. This past month, our lives were again changed when my step-father was killed as the result of an accident as a truck hit him while on his way home from work on his scooter. He was only 64.
I am so thankful to have had these 2 men in my life. Papa Chuck , my step dad stepped up after just a few months of marrying my mom and offered to help with my mission. I will be forever grateful for those sacrifices rendered on my behalf to help me to serve.
Now on to more pleasant stuff.
Our children are all growing up too quickly. With the 4 birthdays we just celebrated this month our children are JP, 15, Anna, 14, Rebekah, 11, Sarah, 10, and Ashley and Aaron are 8. We just had the opportunity to witness our babies entering into special covenants with our Father in Heaven as they were baptized on Sunday. Wow, what a blessing!
In addition to raising our 6 active children, I am a Girl Scout leader, actually, I am the service unit manager in Shepherd and oversee 7 troops this year. I am also first counselor in the Primary Presidency and one of the acting cub den leaders for the wolves. Hopefully, that calling will be filled soon.
Together our family is very active in 4-H as well as of course scouting. My husband, Paul is the Scout Committee Chairman in our ward. He is an awesome man and probably the greatest blessing that Heavenly Father ever sent me.
I did not say the greatest blessing I have, because of course that would be my testimony. Life is good, the church is true. Never doubt the blessings you have been given. Those of you who served with me, do you remember the challenge we were issued in November of 1991? When you say your prayers this month, do not ask for anything....It will suprise you what the Lord has done.
Love to all,
Jennifer
