Mission Boundaries

The current boundaries of the Venezuela Caracas Mission include the following: (1) the federal district, (2) the state of Miranda, (3) the state of Guarico and (4) the state of Apure. The first two are where the city of Caracas is located, and the last two are part of the Venezuelan plains (llanos). The Caracas Mission is in charge of three islands in the Caribbean: (1) Aruba, (2) Bonaire y (3) Curaçao. How to send mail:

The Venezuela Caracas Mission has the pouch mailing service. The pouch is only for letters. You may not include currency, personal checks, stamps or merchandize of any kind, in the pouch. Envelopes containing items other than letters will be returned to the sender.
Pouch Address:

Full Name of Missionary
Venezuela Caracas Mission
PO Box 30150
Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0150
USA

The best way to send merchandize; although it is not recommended, is to use a private courier service (like Federal Express). If the private courier service you plan on using requires a street address, that address appears below.
For packages less than four pounds, like padded envelopes, PREFERRED:
La Mision Caracas Venezuela
Apartado Postal 69204
Caracas, Venezuela
SOUTH AMERICA

For larger packages:
Mision Caracas Venezuela
Calle La Estancia
Centro Banaven
Cubo Negro, Torre B
Piso 1, Apto. B-14
Chuao, Caracas, Venezuela

Missionaries must pay customs duties on larger packages. Sometimes these duties reach as high as 30,000 bolivares, nearly 1/3 their bi-monthly deposit. Better to send smaller packages in a padded envelope.
