Roberta Little died April 28, 2008. She passed away peacefully at her home in Kaysville, Utah, with her husband Ernie Little, at her side. She was 81 years old, and they had been married 61 years. They are the parents of four daughters, 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. They served in the Washington DC South mission under President Hamula, 1994-1995. They often spoke fondly of their mission experiences and admired many of the Elders and Sisters whom they served with. They enjoyed hearing from former missionaries. If you would like to send a letter to Brother Little, his email address is: ernierlittle@juno.com or by mail: 669 East 100 South Kaysville, Utah 84037

Are you going to BYU Provo or live in Provo? Great! Because I need your help. I am living in Salt Lake but might possibly move down there if things turn out right. I am looking for a job with the church. I am working for the church currently and would like to keep getting tuition reembersement. If any of you hear about an opening in either Provo or Orem, please let me know. That would be great! Thank you very much.

Hi Everyone,
I was hoping to have a mission reunion planned for this next General Conference but I just read that General Conference is scheduled for the end of this month. There is no way I will be able to pull it off. We have just bought a home and have to be out of our current place by the end of the month. In addition, my wonderful husband and I are finally being sealed the week before Conference so we have a crazy month.
Maybe we can plan one for next general conference. What do you all think? Please keep sending me email addresses of others from our mission.

This is the e-mail they sent out from dsrobinson@surfree.com:
Dear Washington DC South missionaries,
We would like to see all of you again and are planning our BBQ / picnic for September 16 at 6:00 pm.
We would like to do a potluck again. We will provide ham / turkey sandwiches and homemade root beer.
Items that could be brought are: chips and dips, salads, deserts’ and anything else that sounds good,
We hope you can come join us for a fun evening. Please RSVP so we may know how many of you to plan for. If you don’t know for sure, but hope to come, let us know. We don’t want anyone to stay away if plans change at the last minute.
We know many of you are too far away to come, but in the past we’ve had some who have been in town for other reasons that have come, and it has been great to see them.
We will always extend our invitation to you, and hope to hear from you with a message for those who do attend. We have put up pictures of families and spouses that have been sent, and everyone has enjoyed seeing them.
If you know of any of our former missionaries who may not receive this e-mail, please let them know, too.
We just had visits this week from Sister Dee Ann (Kay) Fields and her family who are here from Washington state, and Sister Shandi (Griffin)Durtschi from Idaho.
What fun it is to meet those who visit us. We hope others who come to town will call and we can visit also. You always have a free meal waiting.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as can come next month.
Please let us hear from you - coming or not!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that I am engaged to Katherine Engstrom and will be married to her on August 4 in the San Diego Temple!

I guess I need to specify what years the reunion would cover. The next message is for all those who served under President John Ward and and President Godfrey.

Let's have a mission Reunion during Autumn 2006 Conference! President Ward is all for it. Carolee Johnson knows of a barn we can use in Lindon. Let's do it! I may be pregnant and hormonally challenged by that time so I will need a lot of help. Send me email addresses of missionaries so we can make sure everyone is included. Please let me know if you have any suggestions and what you can do to help. aliclaw@yahoo.com

I am looking for anyone who served in Purcellville (Hamilton) who may have attended Jean Carter’s funeral in late 93, early 94 and may have her program or obituary that I may get some info off of to do her temple work.

This is in response to Susan Thompson...
Yes she was a missionary. she just returned home at the beginning of November. She served in old town and spring lake (that is all to my knowledge)

Hi, I am just responding to the message about Celeste Asher. Was she a missionary? Some of my companions would have known her.

President and Sister Bretzing informed me on the 12th that Celeste Asher had died suddenly. Her funeral will be held either the 15th or 16th. Please feel free to write letters of sympathy to her parents David and Annette Asher at:

2nd Place. that wasn't so bad. it was weird seeing someone I knew on TV. Word was a great leader in the mish. I served up in the Winchester Zone with him at one point - here there and everywhere else the rest of the time. Way to Go Word. and isn't living right so much better then that Atkins Diet crap.

I just can't believe it has been 30 years+ since I entered the Washington DC mission and served under Pres and Sis Nielsen 7/75-1/77. I wonder about my sweet companions, and the good people we shared the gospel with. I wonder about the senior couples and elders we served with. And the ward members who blessed our lives. I am sure their lives have been like mine: the cycles of the Book of Mormon playing out, bringing us to Christ and home.
