We would like to introduce ourselves to you. We arrived in the mission field for our three-year assignment on July 1, 2004. Previously, we were living in Alpine Utah, but had only been there for a year. Prior to that, we lived in Temecula, California for the previous 18 years.

President Connors served as the President of the Murrieta California Stake for nine years prior to being called as Mission President. He is a principle and co-founder of Partners In Leadership, Inc., an international management consulting and training company. He joined the church when he was 18 years old and served a mission in the Georgia Atlanta Mission. He graduated with a Master’s degree from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University.

Sister Connors is a life-time member, having been raised in the Church in Michigan. She has served in numerous callings in the church, including Relief Society President and most callings in Primary. She also served a full-time mission in the Finland Helsinki mission. Sister Connors graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.

We are serving here with our five children: Katie (17), Michael (15), Seth (14), Kimberly (11), Mary (10). The children are very excited to be serving with the missionaries and enjoy their interactions as they come to the mission home. Katie, our oldest, will be off to college in the Fall.

Our mission motto is, “Stand firm and be faithful and true.” The motto reflects our feelings about our purpose here in the mission. We strongly feel that our first priority is assisting your missionary in building on the foundation that you have laid at home in helping them to establish their faith and testimony so that they will remain strong and faithful in the church throughout their lives.

Our mission scripture is Alma 26:22, “Yea, he that repenteth and exerciseth faith, and bringeth forth good works, and prayeth continually without ceasing—unto such it is given to know the mysteries of God; yea, unto such it shall be given to reveal things which never have been revealed; yea, and it shall be given unto such to bring thousands of souls to repentance, even as it has been given unto us to bring these our brethren to repentance.” (Alma 26:22).

It is a great privilege to be in the service of the Master in this great work.

May the Lord bless you for the sacrifices you are making at home to have your missionary in the field.

Appreciatively,

President Roger Connors
