HAIL, TO ONE OF THE BEST
Hail to elders giving themselves
No morning to early, few to themselves
On unusual occasions we lose one or two
God extends a mission for a precious few.
One day we'll each pass thru His gate
Some leave early, others must wait
Hail to those who give all they've got
Elders unnumbered we've never forgot.
Hail to those who willingly give
One tenth of their twenty years given
For most it's the beginning
For few it seems an untimely ending.
Hail to our youth who put aside time
Showing allegiance, reasons divine
May the parents who sent out their best
Know God love them, in His arms they'll find rest.
Lane D. Losse

Some of you may remember Jon Summers who served in '95. I knew him in high school (BHS class of 94) and lived in the same apartment as him on the mission. Word got back to me that he died last weekend. Here's the link to the obituary.

I am looking for Elders Jeff Wasgespack and Ed Black. I was at Temple Square a few weeks ago and met a sister named Sister Sina Sou, who is now serving on temple square, she was Baptized by Ed and Jeff back in 94. She has been trying to track them down for years and I told her I would try to help find them. I noticed Ron Bowler (Boy Wonder) and Shane Coleman are listed on the site, do you know where Ed and Jeff are? If any one could help, that would be great.

Looking how to contact Elder John Reed who served in the mission from 1990-1992. At the time he left for his mission, he was living with his dad Larry Reed and brother (name forgotten) on Howard Air Force Base down in the Republic of Panama, where his dad was an Air Force major and commander of a radar squadron. I think their home of record was in Oregon, if I remember correctly. If anyone has any information on how to contact John Reed, please contact me at will7370@yahoo.com

On Monday December 5, 2005 Sister Jeannine Wozniak departed the mission home in Provo for the Halifax Mission in Nova Scotia Canada (French Speaking).
I’m sure that she brought her own “Preach My Gospel” manual with her. Her last calling was Ward Missionary in the Victor Falls Ward in Bonney Lake, WA. Since the day this Golden Contact joined the church she has been a great example. She will be serving not far from where she was born and served as a Catholic Nun prior to joining the church. On November 19th all of the temple work for her late husband Bernard was completed, then they with their daughter were sealed for time and all eternity in the Seattle Temple. Missionaries thank you for your dedicated service, one never knows how much good can come from their efforts, where they are “Called to Serve”.

Hello!
I'm searching for anyone who served with my husband & the areas he served while on his mission in Seattle, from April 1999-April 2001. His mother sent me his mission letters and pictures but didn't send them in their original envelopes, and he didn't date them or write the location. I'd like to make a suprise mission book/scrapbook for him, so any help would be appreciated! I can be reached at candeanne@hotmail.com.
Thanks!
Candace Snyder
PS If you knew him, I'm sure he'd love to hear from you! His e-mail is lazyunder@hotmail.com

I am trying to locate the missionaries who taught me the gospel. I was baptised on 2 Sept. 1978 in the 12th ward of the Seattle Stake. I have a book that they gave me and signed. Their names are Elder R Paige, Elder J. Morris and Elder D. Perry. If anyone knows of these elders please let me know how to contact them. Thank you, Chris Satko

Hello--
I am looking for a Blaine (sp?) B. Smith who served in the Northwestern States Mission in the mid-late 1960's. He was from Texas. He served specifically in the Burien area at some point and baptized my in-laws. As a surprise for a family reunion, I would like to contact this former missionary to see if he'd be willing to write a letter. Does anyone know this person or how I can find out about the wherabouts of former missionaries, especially that long ago?
Thank you.

"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
