Ryan Alexander

March 2002

Aloha! After finishing my Spanish-speaking mission Xmas 2000, I flew straight
back to Hawaii, where I continued my Int'l Business Mgmt degree at BYUH. I was
home for six weeks, met this beautiful girl from Tacoma - we dated for 7 weeks
and were engaged (trust me, I'm the last person who thought that would happen).
We were married August 17, 2001 in the Seattle Temple. We're both going to finish our degrees April 2003, and I'll be starting law school that Fall, while
she'll teach elementary school. Life's great. Especially when you can wear shorts and sandals every single day.

Well, hello to every one again. Time sure does fly fast. I just wanted to
update my family news. My wife Jeanie and I had our second boy Alex on April
2nd 2003 his brother Eric who is 2 1/2 now loves to play with his little
brother. We are still leaving in Clinton Utah were I am currently working. I
am excited about the mission reunion for the Oaks in October. I sure hope that
everyone I know can make it, it should be a blast. Well, that’s about it for
now I hope to hear from those who I served around.

Love,

Its great to be able to keep in touch with all of you!  I just
completed my Associates degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) at the
former Rick's College, soon to be known as BYU-Idaho.  I am now living in
Mapleton, Ut. with my brother in Law David, and my sister Shannon Perez.
I am currently looking for a job in the computer field and I need a good job
to help me pay off my car debt of $7000 + insurance.  I have already
interviewed with a company my brother in law works for in Ogden called Legato,
and I am praying I'll get the job.  If I do then all of my financial
worries will be over!  If any of you know of any good jobs around, please
e-mail me and let me know. I can already tell that the bills are piling up on
me!  My first priority is to pay off my car loan and then I think I might
give BYU a try with somewhat of a change in majors. I am considering switching
from CIS to graphic design.  I hope and prey its the right thing, but
then first things first. It would be great to hear from all of you so send me
a line and I'll get one back to ya!

Life's been great!  I'm currently going to school and working as a
Realtor. I see some of you at school, but for those that I don't see, drop
some lines.  I miss the mission and I miss Seattle, but saving to go
there on vacation.  If any of you need a home, let me know...

I was married to Alisha Bonewell (from Spokane) on May 12, 2000 (That is
within 1 year of my release date) I received a two year degree from the LDS
Business College and now I am attending the Salt Lake Community College. I
work at the State capital doing Computer Based Training for the Finance
department. Just last week I responded to my first name for the first time
since I was released, now my wife doesn't have to call me "Elder" to
get my attention. I am still wearing my missionary shoes.

Hi everyone! I was happy to have stumbled upon this website not long ago. I
am currently in graduate school at Cornell University. There are

many old friends from the WSM with whom I've lost touch that I would love to
hear from.

Shauna (Pitcher) Andersen

September 2001

Reading the profiles on this site makes me feel OLD! It's been a mighty long time since I served in the Great Washington Seattle Mission--but it remains one of the highlights of my life. The Hanks' are still some of my very favorite people.

A couple of years after returning from Seattle I met prince charming at BYU. Roger Andersen and I were married in December 1986 in the Salt Lake Temple. Shortly after that I graduated from BYU with a degree in business. We lived in the Bay area of California for about 8 years and are now living happily in Alpine, Utah. We have 4 busy children so my life is completely out of control. Jeffrey (12), Steven (10), Hayden (6) and Madeleine (3).

So life is good. We enjoy serving in our ward. I've spent most of my years in the Young
Women's program which I love, but am embarking on a new career in Cub Scouts--nervous, very nervous.

Keep in touch!

I was married in August 2000 to Melanie Haroldsen of Idaho Falls ID, and we
have a son, Ethan Wade, born in May 2001. Mel is a returned missionary from
the Philippines San Pablo mission. I recently enlisted in the Air Force, and
will be entering training on Nov. 29. Life is crazy but good, and I would love
to hear from any of the old crew.

I got married to Natalie Mills in August 1998. We have a three year old
son, Kaden, and are expecting a little girl at the end of this month. We
currently live in Connecticut while I attend school. I would love to hear from
any of the missionaries I served with or knew in the mission.

Hello Fellow Missionaries,

I was called to the Washington Seattle mission from august of 98 to February
of 2000. I have many great memories of the members, investigators, and
missionaries in all the areas that I served. I enjoyed being a Spanish
Speaking sister missionary. I had wonderful leaders in all my areas, and I
served with top quality missionaries. I'd like to thank all those that I served with and around in the mission. You have
all blessed my life. Special thanks to President and Sister Larson. They are
very dear to me and I will never forget them. I'm currently working on completing my
elementary education credential, and then I will be working towards a PHD in
education. I enjoy attending Institute classes at Cerritos College Institute
as well as CalSate, LongBeach.  I love California and It's nice to be
home. I miss everything about Seattle, except the rain of course. I served in
the Northshore (covering N Seattle Stake, Lynwood Stake, and Shoreline Stake). I also served on Everett ( covering Everett
Stake, and the surrounding area ). I had the best Trainer in the whole mission
, Sister Skousen.  I will be for ever grateful to her. I'm also grateful
for each one of my companions. They each have a special  place in my
heart. Thank you all for serving with me and making the Washington Seattle
Mission the experience  of a lifetime. I'd love to hear from all
of you if you happen to read this message.

With Love

your Friend and Sister,

Elizabeth Armiento (Hermana Armiento)

Yeah, I'm still at home.  A little advice... Never take a
semester off !!!  One semester turns into two, then maybe three.
Anyway, I'm now finally preparing to move back up to the Provo / Orem area to
start back up at UVSC.  I'm still single and happy...  Someday the
right one will come along.  Everyone needs to come to the next reunion!
I missed the last one and I'm really looking forward to seeing you all there,
so go okay?

See y'all later...

Every time I see a car with Washington license plates it makes me think of
how I wished I had been in a car when I was there …

Nearly 30 years has passed since those first missionary days. Now the baby
in the family is 18 and my wife and I have started looking forward to the next
mission when we can go together!

Kenneth Bawden

February 2004

I returned from Seattle Washington Mission, serving under President and
Sister Hanks, in September 1982, so I've had a lot happen in my life since
then...First, I met my beautiful wife, Lisa Larson, at a CEU branch one Sunday
and after dating her for one week straight, we were engaged on June 30th and
sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 9th, 1983...and seven years later
we had six of our seven children here! Abram, our oldest is currently serving
in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission, he's loving it and has
been out 6 months! Isaac, our 18 1/2 yr. old, is a senior at Emery High, and
is graduating in May and plans to leave on his mission sometime in October
2004. Our third child, also a boy, Jacob, just turned 17 yrs. and is a very
jubilant and happy 11th grader. Daniel, our fourth son, turned 16 yrs. old a
week ago, and so now the car insurance is over $450 a month! Wow, teenage boys
are the best, aren't they? Our last boy is an 8th grader at Canyon View and is
14 1/2 yrs. Ann, our only living daughter, is 13 yrs. and is in the 7th grade
at Canyon View with her big bro, Sam, which she wishes sometimes was
different! ha Our adopted baby from Haiti, who we never got to hold, but we
definitely loved, Kendra Elisabeth, was born April 8, 2001 and before we could
finish all the paper work to adopt her, she passed away on August 4, 2001. We
were privileged to have her sealed to us on Dec. 21, 2001 in the Manti Temple,
so we will strive to live worthy of raising her someday.

I've worked for Church Education Systems as a seminary teacher since 1989, and
I love it! We have moved several times with CES and have enjoyed living in
Price, Moab, Orem and Huntington. We have been in Huntington the longest time,
going on 7 years, and have grown to love the area and people here very much.
Lisa currently serves the sisters in our ward as 2nd Counselor in the Relief
Society, and I am serving the good people of the Huntington 5th ward as first
counselor in the Bishopric. My current assignment in CES is Principal of the
Castle Dale Seminary, where I teach with three other men.

We are looking forward to the reunion coming up in April 2004! We have stayed
in contact with the Hanks and love them very much. We're happy for their
recent call to serve in the Palmyra New York Visitor Centers! We look forward
to seeing them before they leave in April.

I am currently studying Aviation at UVSC to become a commercial pilot. I was also married in September to
Melissa Cutler. I am living in Orem and hoping to graduate from school someday. But being a
professional student doesn't sound so bad.

Since the end of my mission in 1994, I have gotten married, had 2 great
children (Ryan and Brooklyn),  and completed almost 4 years of medical
school in Kirksville, Missouri.  I miss Seattle, and hope some day to
either live there, or visit on a regular basis.

I continue to study the gospel so that I can build on the spirit I was
blessed with on my mission, though it has been hard, I know where, and how to
find it.   I am a construction contractor, and an aspiring concert
pianist and accompanist.

Bruce Bevan

August 2001

This month marks 17 years since I returned from my mission (WOW,

it doesn't seem that long ago). I was one of those very few missionaries

that was called on an 18 month mission. The areas I served in were: Sedro Wooley / South Tacoma & Fort Lewis / Federal Way & Kent / North Seattle /
Issaquah & Renton. I would love to get in touch with anyone who might have
served in those areas even if we didn't serve together. I think it's wonderful that there are now 3 missions where there was once 1 consisting of
160 missionaries. Since returning home I received a BA in Communications at BYU in 1987, also at BYU I met my wife Elizabeth and have been married for 15
years. We have 2 daughters ages 13 and 8. We have lived in Pasadena, California since 1989. I am currently working for The WB Television Network
as a Video Editor for Network Promotions.

Take Care,

I've been so grateful for the spiritual growth I received while in Seattle
on my mission. I miss the associations I had there. Wish I could have found
some of the near and dear ones, but I may be too old for this group! If any of
you are there, I'd love to hear form you. I was married for 16 years and have
5 boys ages 18 - 8. I took them back home to Nauvoo last year, to see the
temple. Incredible! I'm going back to nursing school! I live just north of
Ogden, UT.

Dr. James C. Brown Jr.

Married to Carol Joyce Notter and have nine children.

Jill (McDonald) Brown

November 2000

I am so glad we now have a site! All is going great! I married Steven Brown in Nov. of 92 and we now have three daughters, Ashley 7, Rachel 5, and Rebecca 6 months. We decided to sell our home in Las Vegas and move to Provo while my husband attends Law school. We like it here but look forward to going back to L.V. when we are through in 18 months.

I pretty much keep busy with my children and their schools, I also work part time as the Interart/ Hallmark rep in the Utah Valley, it is a pretty cushy job, since I get to pick my own hrs and days.

I have so many great memories of the time I served in Seattle. My only regret is that I have lost track of some great companions, so I hope through this site we can touch base again. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to serve a mission there are so many of you, I have great memories of, that taught me so much! I would love to hear from any that served at the same time.

David Bryan

March 2002

I am currently finishing up a BA in Music at Dana College in Blair, NE. I will be graduating this May and hope to begin Graduate school at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln next fall. I am having my senior piano recital in just a few weeks. My hope is to become a college music professor and have my own private music studio. I think that this website is great. There are so many of you that I would like to hear from. Send me an email. I promise I'll write back.

Sean Burgess

January 2001

I was able to serve in Redmond, WA the last 5 weeks of my mission. It was
there that I met my wife to be. We started dating when I had about

a week left...Just kidding! I ended up moving back to Seattle shortly after
going back home to Salt Lake. I started dating Becki Snow from Redmond
the day I moved back to Seattle and we were married 5 months later in November
of 1994. We have lived in the Bellevue area our entire 6 years of marriage.
I now have a 3-1/2 year old daughter Kendall and a 10 month old son Dawson. We
also recently found out that we are going to have another here in July. I
currently work for Graybar Electric Company here in Bellevue. They are a
distributor of telecommunications products and I am in charge of Fiber Optic
Cable allocation for the west coast. I have been there for a few years and it
seems as though I will be there for some time. I attended Bellevue Community
College for some time but never did finish. Hopefully someday.

I have to say I love Seattle. I loved my mission. The people of this area are
such good people, I can't say that I left with no regrets but I am being given
ample chances to make up for mistakes that I might have made, as I am
currently serving my 3rd Stake Mission since coming home.

I was sure excited to find this site and read the bios of fellow Elders and
remember the days. I actually attend The Newport ward now and we meet in the
chapel where transfers were held.  It seems so hard to believe that it
was 8 years ago that I came out. Life has been good though. I hope that this
finds all of you alumni strong in the faith.  Please contact me if you
wish. My wife is getting sick of hearing about all of my mission stories so it
would be nice to share them with somebody who was there with me.

I live in Mesa Arizona. I married my beautiful wife, Rhiannon Germaine, in December of 1999. In January of 2001 our son Quinton was born. He is now a year old and enjoys walking, running, and falling as often as he can. My wife finished school in December of 1999, and I am still working on my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I hope to finish within the next two years. I work part-time as a school bus driver and enjoy the work and friendships I make everyday. We are currently in the Ocotillo Ward in the Queen Creek stake, with no current calling. After returning from my mission in Feb. 99 and before I married in Dec. 99 I worked in the Mesa Temple as an ordinance worker. That was a lot of fun and I still miss that calling I had. I'd love to hear from all of you.

I didn't see too many listed who served only with President Snow, so I thought I'd better ante up. I'm still holding to the rod, nurturing my testimony and have served in many church callings, my favorite of which was being the Ward Mission Leader (twice!). I currently serve on the Stake High Council. I work for the federal government (Army) in Personnel Staffing and acknowledge the Lord for all that I am or ever hope to be!

Northwestern state of Washington. Its good to be home. I miss the pretty green
that all the rain in Seattle brings. Its very desert like here. I'm starting
school in 2 weeks. Before my mission, I went to Massage school, and I plan on
opening up my own health spa in a few years. I have to figure out how to do
it, so I am enrolled in a Introduction to Business class.

All of my mission buddies are welcome to Vegas anytime.

I am working for the Department of Energy Office of Inspector in General in
Idaho Falls as an auditor. I have been here for a year and love my job. But I
will be giving up my job in August and moving to Florida after I am married to
Raymond Walden in the Salt Lake Temple on August 22. He works for the Air
National Guard in Panama City, FL and that is where we will be making our
home. I will hopefully be a homemaker for the time being and work on my book.
I have already fallen in love with the beaches back there (white sand beaches
of the Gulf of Mexico) and I see it as a way of continuing my mission being so
far away from my family. I have been trying to locate some lost mission
companions and buddies so that I could share with them the good news.

Currently, I am the beehive advisor in my ward. I am really going to miss that
calling and the five wonderful girls in my class. Next to a mission I think it
is the best calling in the church.

As a few of you may recall I did enjoy crocheting and have now taking up
knitting and sewing as well. And for some reason I got it in my mind that I
can sew my own wedding dress. I am happy to report that it is turning out
quite well and should be done before the wedding.

I hope to locate more of you through the website in the future.

After returning home from my mission I began the arduous task of a
secondary education.  I graduated from the University of Utah and
promptly began law school at Gonzaga University in Spokane WA. I met my wife
in the singles ward and we were married the summer of 1999.  After
finishing school I took the Washington state bar exam and am currently
attending the University of Washington tax program at the law school here.
We live adjacent to the Factoria building (the place for

transfers).  We have not started a family as of yet, but it won't be
much longer.  We love living in the Seattle area and find plenty to
keep us busy.  We are not sure how much longer we will be living here,
my wife wants a warmer climate.

Hola amigos! I'm chillin' back in the great "corny" state of Iowa and
have been enjoying myself. I am currently attending Iowa State Univ. and am
majoring in Spanish, 2nd Ed., ESL, and minoring in Anthropology. I am living
back at home because of hard living with a roomie and medical probs. All is
well now though, and am excited about this new year, 2003. I will probably
have 2 CDs coming out this year, one with mission memoir songs, and another
of opera arias and songs from my parents generation (Edith Piaf, Charles
Aznavour, the Platters, etc.) Let me know if you are interested to own one.
I hope to be traveling to Seattle for spring break (March 14th-21st). If
anyone is interested to share the excitement with me...let me know. I miss
everyone so much and wished that we all lived closer to each other and the
people that touched our lives. Peace out!

June 2003

I was just looking through my missionary journal and reminiscing and
thought it would be cool to see the old mission website.  It looks great.  I
have been married for almost two years right now.  My wife Sherry and I got
married Sept. 1, 2001 in the St. Paul MN temple.  My wife had a daughter from
a previous relationship, and I legally adopted her in March of 2002 and then
she was sealed to us in June of that year.  It sounds kind of unorthodox, but
it has worked really well for us.  Both my wife and I are seniors at Winona
State University in Minnesota.  We are both majoring in Special
Education/Learning Disabilities and loving it.  It's great to see so many
letters from past friends on there.

Take care and God bless.

I enjoyed my mission serving in the international zone as a Chinese
speaking missionary. After my mission, I returned to BYU in Hawaii to finish
my degree there. I put my language to use by traveling to the orient every
summer until I graduated (taught English in Taiwan and Hong Kong). Great
times!! After graduating, I married someone I met while at BYU-HC. She brought
me back down to the ground and we settled in Los Angeles for a few years. We
had our first baby and decided to move to Colorado to live by family. We have
been living here in the Denver area since then. My wife and I have three kids
and are very happy. My memories of my mission often remind me of the great
friends I made there. I was not very good at keeping up with letters, so if
there are any of you out there that would like to chat now and then about our
old missionary days and catch up on life, I would love to hear from you.

April 2002

Hey everybody! Well here I am, back in the "real world" and I must say I'm very mission sick. I've been home a little over a month now and have already been back to Washington to visit for a
week (and if anybody needs a traveling buddy I'd be happy to go back again.) As of right now I'm just relaxing a little until school starts. This May I'll be at Weber State. I'm interested in the Pre Med. program there and can't wait to get back to school. I currently live in Sunset Utah with my
folks (of course) and have no job or girlfriend (which is nice, less things to worry about) and that's about it for now, amazing life huh?

I loved serving in Seattle.  I miss my mission often.  It was a
wonderful experience.  I returned home in September of 99 and started
dating my friend since 5th grade Eric Hunter.  We fell in love and
were married last August 2000.   It is so much fun to be in love and
know that it will last forever.  My sweet husband attends BYU and will
graduate next April.  I am working for a Retina specialist here in town.
It is fascinating to learn so much about the eye.  So, Eat Your Carrots!
The doctor work for used to be partners with President Oaks, so my mission
helped me land this job!

Hey there,

Thought that I would let those of you who might care know what is going on
in my neck of the woods. My wife Lindsay and I have been married since Dec of
99. We lived in Ogden for a time attending school, where my wife graduated
with her degree. We moved back to Lyman, Wy in 2002 where we both grew up. We
had a little girl in November of 2002. Her name is Emma, and she brings us so
much joy. We just bought a house and are busy remodeling. I am attending
school still, after a break due to some bad health. I am enrolled in an
outreach program here in the valley that is allowing me to finish my secondary
education degree without leaving Lyman. I am working for a local trucking
company as a Dispatch/Sales rep. We specialize in moving ship line container
freight across the 48. Pretty eventful and crazy dealing with the truckers of
the country. I also coach basketball for the High School that I attended on
the side. Basically we are just having  fun living life in a place that
we love. I think of many of you often and hope that we might see one another
again someday. Good luck and have fun.

Just checking-in after lo, these many decades. When I was Elder Iverson, we covered all of Washington and the panhandle of Idaho.
Married Gloria Gibson, a girl from Spokane. Lost her for a season (out of my own foolish pride). Re-married in December 2000. Son, Eric,

down Elder Dennis McGregor. Gospel's true.

I served Spanish-speaking in Kirkland, Shoreline, Sedro-Wooley/Burlington, and then back to Shoreline, and managed to teach in Everett as well while in both Kirkland and Shoreline...loved those loose Hermana boundaries!

I'm now teaching high school drama in Valley View, TX and live in Denton, TX.

Carl Johnson

January 2002

I was spanish speaking, served from Nov 1976 to Nov 1978 under Pres. Stapley and Pres. McKoy. The mission was divided and the last part I was in the Spokane Mission. My companions were Elders Raban, Nielson, Anderson, Montgomery, Saxey, Staker, Richards, Gardner, and Ringer.

I'm on my 3rd marriage due to cancer, etc. We have a total of 13 or 14 children(yours, mine, theirs, doesn't matter, we love 'em all)-8 still at home. You should see Christmas around here. We got everyone rollerblades. Now, that's a sight! This includes a set of twins and a set of triplets. We have 2 grandchildren. My oldest son served a mission to Taiwan and my oldest step-son to South Africa, there are 2 in the army. I am working full-time and a full-time student in school-again! My wife Karen is a school teacher, serves on the national board of the Triplet Connection, and was just set apart as the ward R.S. Pres. (We do say Hi in passing). She served in the California Ventura (Deaf) Mission.

Even though we've both been through a lot of pain and heartache as members of the Dead Spouse Society, we feel that we have been extremely blessed and are being watched over. We are not proud and do accept any and all prayers in our behalf.

It's odd to think that it's been ten years since I was serving in Seattle.
My wife Emily and I are living in Draper, Utah.  Emily and I have a little

Oh my heck... Well what to tell you I  am so excited that I found this
page and have read some fun things about some of my favorite missionaries.
1994 seems so far away and Such a long time ago. well I went home after my
mission to Pennsylvania and found I was not happy back east and off to Rick's
college for my degree... some one should have warned me about Ricks. I spent 4
years and got two degrees.. my first degree was in Teaching and then the
Second was in Culinary Arts. IE Chef in my e-mail name. I left Ricks with a
sad tear in my eye, loosing my soon to be wife in a car accident, and I moved
back to Seattle in the Summer of 98 and have been living here since. I
continued my education here in Seattle at the Art Institute of Seattle in the
Culinary Field. I am employed now as a manager in a floral shop for Safeway,
making a very nice living. I still support the missionaries here in Seattle by
feeding them almost every Sunday.  I love the missionary work. I attend
the University 1st Ward, North Seattle Stake, and have enjoyed many callings
there. I am happy and still looking for my wife. If anyone has any leads for
me let me know.  I just want to leave you know that many of my fellow
companions helped me in more ways then you will ever know.

of fun in life and work hard so that I can play harder. Ann and I are both
graduates of BYU and I received an MBA from Pepperdine. We are both very
active and enjoy going to the beach during the summer (come visit!) and
playing various sports. Ann has become an incredible triathlete, while I come
in a distant second (she has a better bike!). We still keep in touch with
Elders Merrill, Brim, Yamane, and Middletone, and I spoke recently to
President Bradshaw's brother who served as my youngest brother's mission
president in Tallahassee, FL. Life is good and we are very blessed. Hope to
hear from some of the old mission buddies throughout the years to come! Good
times.

?Como estamos? Just got back from the Seattle mission 2 months ago in
December 2002. Studying Biochemistry here at BYU to go to medical school.
Loving life and the gospel. President Hinckley and the missionaries in the
Seattle mission right now are full of faith, a vision of our brothers and
sisters in white. I am missing the mission, but am trying to figure out how to
go about the next mission in life.

I served Spanish-speaking in Mt.Vernon, Bellevue, Seattle 4th, Renton, Kent,
Seattle Southwest. The work is going great, many people are making great
progress, going through the temple. The church is true. Email me if you know
any info. about the people, etc... in those areas where I served.

Hey What's up,

Well I am attending school at UVSC going for my
bachelors in Criminal Justice. I am also working as a computer technician at a
place called Propeller inc. I had a great time serving in the Washington
Seattle mission, but I would have to say that the best place to serve is on
Whidbey Island. I had very good companions and we had a lot of fun.

Thanks

Well I am currently living with and helping take care of my grandmother and
going to school at The Great Basin College campus in Ely, NV.

I work as an Archaeological  Aid. Most of all I realize know how hard it
is to come home from a mission. These last months that I have not had that
mantle have been rough. I find myself wishing that I could go back to that
wonderful way of life. I know that I can't but I will forever love the
opportunity that I had to serve in the Greatest mission in the world. The
Washington Seattle Mission.

I am currently working in Technical Support for a phone and internet
company. I am preparing to go back to school at BYU this coming fall semester
2003, where I am pursuing a degree in Music, Vocal Performance. I plan on
getting a doctorate degree, and performing and teaching in the future. I loved
serving in Seattle. Although my mission experience was cut short because of
health issues, I had a wonderful time growing and learning spiritually. I will
never forget the people I worked with, and the eternal friendships that I made
in the Washington Seattle Mission, the greatest mission in the world!

August 2002

I have been married now for 1 1/2 years and am enjoying it. My wife and I are purchasing a condo in Pleasant Grove, UT. I attended about a year
of school at UVSC while working as a computer programmer before dropping out of school. I have contemplated going back, but can't quite get
myself to do it.

This summer, I was able to return to Seattle. My wife and I drove from Utah. It was great visiting all the sights without having to worry
about area boundaries. So much has changed up there yet so much is the same. Unfortunately, we picked a week when the weather was beautiful,
so now my wife thinks that is how the weather always is.

If anybody is in the area, drop me a line. My number should be in the phone book.

I too have wonderful memories from the years serving, beginning in 1973 in
the Washington Mission which later became the Washington Seattle Mission, with
fine companions, many other missionaries and Washingtonians. I often think
about the many of you I met and worked with and would love to renew
acquaintences. I live in Farmington UT and am listed in the phone book. I have
been married to the same wonderful women for 28 years (she waited for me),
have four daughters (three married--one by Pres. Stapley in AZ temple,
youngest now serving a mission in Chile Santiago North) and six grandchildren.
I would like to determine interest and feasibility to start holding Raymond
Price-Washington Mission reunions and D. Thomas Stapley-Washington Seattle
Mission reunions here is the Salt Lake area periodically. If not suffient
interest, I would still like to catch up on all that I served with, met and
got to know. My companions were Elders Wayne Airmet, James Crosby, Arthur
Gibby, Dave Ross, Paul Gardner, Kenneth Rials, Richard Mackey (twice), Monrow
Peddie, Robert Gavilan, Art Lofgreen, John Horsley, Richard Oborn, Steven
Skabelund, and Don Hendrickson.

when we both moved up to Cincinnati area (but on the KY side). We are happy
and having a wonderful life.

We now live in the area of my mission, returning in 1993. It has changed tremendously since then. It seems smaller now (geographically), maybe because I drive a car in stead of a bike!

My wife, Simone, served her mission in the Des Moines, Iowa mission.

We have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls (just the way we planned it). I have a small contracting company here in Redmond.

great to get in touch with some of the people that I served with.

I got married in April of 1999, Mike and I had a lengthy courtship of
5 months. We then found out we get the privilege of adopting our
children. We are in the process of buying a house and adopting a little boy.

I served with Hermanas Aragon and Poulson and Limb in Bellevue, then in
Kirkland and Mount Vernon with Hermana Berkovitz ( I know I spelled it wrong),
then in Burien with Hermana Ainsworth, then on to Shoreline with Hermana
Jeppson, trained Hermana Olsen then Jeppson again.

I loved the mission and being able to teach the Hispanic people. Because of my
love for them it made it all the easier to fall in love with my husband. He is
part Hispanic.

with a professional football team for two seasons and a pro basket ball team

Although the majority of my mission was spent in the WA Tacoma Mission (I
was reassigned from the Seattle Mission to the Tacoma Mission when it was
formed in July of 1990), my time spent in the Seattle Mission was highly
memorable and a huge part of my mission experience. The only area I served in
was the Redmond/Carnation area. My companions were Elder Brett Davis (my
trainer) and Elder Russell Sorensen. A couple of the missionaries whom I
remember most serving with (not as companions) were Elders Chad Kraykovic and
Jeff Zlotnik. We had some pretty good times together. (I'd love to hear from
them!) Another missionary that had a great influence on me was Elder Hutto, my
first district leader. What more can be said for President and Sister Cutler
other than they were awesome! After my mission I was able to return to Redmond
and go through the temple with Jack Evans, a great man who was baptized after
I left the area. I have lost touch with him and his wife Margerite. If any of
you may have info on where he is now, I would really appreciate hearing from
you. As for my life now, I work as a communications supervisor and emergency
planner for a large 911 dispatch center in the Salt Lake area of Utah.

Hi-

I was browsing through the Washington Seattle Mission and I decided to join
the righteous alumni club. I served from Aug 1992 to Aug 1994. My mission
Presidents are MacFarlane and Bowerman. I served in Bellevue, Southwest,
Renton, Everett, and North Seattle. My companion were Elder Paulson, Jackson,
Manivanh, Brockhausen, Coleman, Waguespac, Prout, Torrey, and Johnston. The
only language closest to Hebrew-Cambodian language-Sok-Sa-Bai.

My eternal companion is Khmer. I am an insurance man and a Branch President of
a tiny Lao Branch in Fresno California. Anybody want to trade church
calling?

October 2002

I married Mark Vasicek 5 months after coming off the mission. Yes, he's the one I wrote for four years... We've lived 6 years in Texas (his home state), 6 years in Chicago area and now going on 8 years in Western Massachusetts--always the mission field! It's hard letting go of these teenagers we're raising but we're gritting our teeth and doing it anyway. Joe had the opportunity to travel to Italy last summer; Kate will study in France for her junior year in high school. Sarah and Dot, 14 and 12, round off our quartet. Looks like Joe may be in the MTC next summer... I teach art to elementary school students...Mark works for a Swedish-based plastics corporation, engineer. We live in the heart of early church history sites, between Sharon, VT and Palmyra, NY. Look us up! Teaching youth in early morning seminary and Sunday School gives me a "rush" of mission memories and seeing the Hanks this summer was a big deal for me after all these years! What's new with you?

The people that I really want to get in touch with are not on this list. So
someone needs to get in touch with everyone!!  Keep the good work
flowing. Single life is the best! I'm a Sagittarius.  I enjoy Neil
Diamond and dancing like children of the night with a special someone.
You know who you are.

Have a super dooper day.

I served in the mission between 1980 - 1982. I arrived in the mission the day after Mount St Helens blew up.
At the time I was the only one from New Zealand in the Mission. I would love to hear from anyone that remembers and old "Kiwi from down under" between those years.

Heidi (Taylor) Wilkinson

August 2001

Shortly, after I came home from my mission (early) I met my husband. Our courtship lasted a year. After being engaged for 3 months, we were sealed in the Oakland temple in September of 1998. I graduated from BYU a semester after being married. Not long after our first year anniversary, we had a son born to us. We named him Grant Taylor Wilkinson. Sixteen months following his birth, we had another son born to us. His name is Tyler Nicholas Wilkinson. Currently, we are discovering the joys and challenges of parenthood.

Hey Guys,

It's been a while since my last post so I thought I would make an update. I have moved back to the Washington area and loving it. I couldn't stay away and I was homesick for the Northwest. I live in Bellevue and work at Classmates Online in Renton.

I also spent two years at Ricks/BYU-Idaho where I had the wonderful experience of being the 2001-2002 BYU-Idaho Men's Choir President.

I am not married yet but we will have to see what the future brings.

Send me a line if you remember who I am. I would like to hear from you.

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
