President Hamula is serving in the First Quorum of the Seventy, having been sustained as a General Authority of the Church in the April 2008 General Conference.

The Hamulas currently live in Auckland, New Zealand, where Elder Hamula serves in the Presidency of the Pacific Area. Sister Hamula accompanies Elder Hamula on mission tours and other assignments, and cares for the three children that have accompanied them to New Zealand.

The Hamula's children are:

Jerilyn, age 23, a graduate of Arizona State University and sales associate at Nordstrom in Murray, Utah;

Jordan, age 21, working and attending school in Utah;

Jenny, age 19, a graduate of Red Mountain High School (Mesa), is working in Salt Lake City as a nanny and attending LDS Business College;

Julie, age 17, completed high school in Utah, taking online college classes, and lives with the family in New Zealand;

Jared and Joseph, age 13, live with the family in New Zealand and attend early morning seminary and Takapuna Grammar School in New Zealand; born to President and Sister Hamula in the mission field.
