| Hi! I´m so happy because one of my best friends was called to serve at Little Rock Arkansas Mission, we are from Tampico in México ...he entered to MTC November 29th, 2005. I hope everything will be OK for him, Elder Rivera is a great person, so kind and nice...he studied and loves music...I just wanted to share my happiness with all of you!!!! I know he will enjoy this wonderful oportunity of service..(if some of you don´t know where he comes? well, Tampico is in Tamaulipas a border state with Texas, in the Gulf of Mexico) | |

| I am the mom of a current Arkansas Little Rock missionary, and I can tell you, as some of the RMs have mentioned- be prepared to walk or ride a bike A LOT. Also, be sincere, and let the Spirit guide you so that you can love the people you serve with and, most especially, the people you serve. Know your scriptures, too. It is called "The Bible Belt" for a reason! Be faithful and true, so that you can return with honor! Sister Rogers |

| hey Josh, I am from ventura california so I can give you a fellow so cal's perspective. it is a blast. be prepared to do a lot of driving walking or biking. the areas are huge. the poeple rock especially in the project areas they love the missionaries there. plus you will get a lot of little hommies trying to play bball for your bike. really learn your new testiment and book of mormon together they will be your main tools after the spirit. they need a lot of proof down in the south so knowing your scriptures will give you a lot more confidence. I am guessing since you are from so cal you have some good poeple skills and that is what I really survived off of. the southern people really know when you are sincere or not. just be yourself make them your friend then bust out the knowledge. have fun dude you will love it. casey patterson |
