Visted the mission with good friend and companion Mark Mugleston in Feb 2002. What an unreal and surreal experience. I highly recommend it. I really didn't think I'd ever be able to return, but Mugleston talked me into it. I'm so glad he did. We went to every area we served in, most of the chapels, and many of the flats we lived in. We rode the trains and trams, ate meat pies and fish & chips, visited members, and relished times with convert families who we've stayed in touch with. We dropped in on a branch outside Devonport (Deloraine), unannounced, and members remembered us as though we'd only left the week before. That was an incredible experience.
I'm an attorney in SLC. 5 children. Two boys have served missions. One to go + 2 daughters. Still married to 1st wife. Life is sure interesting.
I'm so grateful that the opportunity to serve a mission was given to me, and I'm so glad I had the good sense to accept it and stick with it. |
