My wife Lorinda and I have 7 children, three oldest married, one working in Utah, and the three youngest still at home. We were blessed to have a very interesting time living in Switzerland where I was the Chief Patent Counsel for Alstom Power 2008-2009. Great job, lots of fun managing an international group of patent attorneys while our children had a very interesting time attending an International School in Zug (near Zurich) - and truly enjoying taking advantage of autobahn speed on trips to nearby Germany. Our oldest daughter had served a mission in Austria and Germany, so she came over a couple of times and was a great help, as was another daughter who knows some German. We returned to the US and our old home in Cincinnati after my job there was eliminated in the economic downturn. I now have my own U.S. patent practice while also consulting for Boeing and working with other former Alstom and GE lawyers to set up a business providing compliance training. The church is strong here in Cincinnati, Ohio, and would love to hear from any of those who served in my long-ago era. |
