12 March 2006

I've been married almost 4 years now. I graduated from BYU's BA in Film in 2004, moved to Washington, DC and interned at National Geographic Television & Film. I was later hired on to coordinate their international indigenous film festival (All Roads Film Festival) in LA and DC where-in I was able to meet some 'sweet az' Aussie & Kiwi filmmakers.

In November of 2004, Kim and I felt like we should move back to Utah for a while where I worked at the LDS Motion Picture Studio in Provo, Utah. It was quite a blast and I had the opportunity to work on many projects with the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve (most Sundays found me at 6am in the caverns of the Conference Center running camera for a regional broadcast).

I applied around April 2005 and was accepted into the University of Sydney (yep, in Australia) for their Masters of Film & Digital Image. We've been living in the Summer Hill ward (Hyde Park Stake) since July 2005. We're both on our second callings in the ward now. Kim is currently the Young Women's President (Summer Hill YW) and I am the Ward Executive Secretary.

My masters course finishes around August 2006, so not too far off. We're still trying to decide if we want to extend our visas and live here a bit longer or come back to the USA...Hope you all are well. Keep in touch!

LDS QUOTE:
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord's work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
-Elder L. Tom Perry
Ensign, Nov. 2001
