GROUNDBREAKING AND SITE DEDICATION: Rescheduled for 10 March 2005

Information found on http://www.ldschurchtemples.com/cgi-bin/pages.cgi?curitiba&announced

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Curitiba Brazil Temple has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 10, 2005, where Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside. Two days earlier, on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, a groundbreaking celebration will be held at 8:00 p.m. in the Portão Chapel, Praça Joseph Smith, Curitiba.
The beautiful tract of land selected for the temple is located in the Campo Comprido district, across from a Linha Expresso stop near Parque Barigui, Shopping Barigui, and Carrefour.
The temple district will include 21 stakes from the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina. The first Brazilian stake outside of São Paulo was created in Curitiba in 1971; there are now nine stakes in the city.
