After returning home from the mission, I returned to studying at a community college near my home and worked with my father doing construction work. After being home for almost a year, I met my wife Kristen and, like most crazy mormons, we were married only 6 months later (March 2001). I said I'd never be one of those people, but I was anyway. In September 2001, we moved to Madison, Wisconsin. I got a job at a car dealership and Kristen got a job working for a placement agency. In January 2002, I returned to school at a Madison community college for a semester and continued to work. In August 2002, I began work on my Mechanical Engineering degree at University of Wisconsin - Platteville, and still continued to work at the dealership. In May 2003, my son Tyler was born (the Friday before finals week, I might add). I continued with school and work, and Kristen worked at home doing daycare. In October 2005, my daughter Hailey was born. Fortunately, I was working a co-op job with the Sub-zero Freezer Company (and part-time at the dealership) at that time, so we could afford it. I finished my last semester of school this past May, and I began work with Cummins Inc. on June 1st. Anyone who knows engines, knows Cummins. We are most famous for our diesel engines, which are built (and sold) worldwide. I am loving my new job. It was definitely worth all the time my wife and I spent as poor college students in Wisconsin. Kristen has always been able to stay at home with the kids, which is a huge blessing. The Lord has truly blessed me in my life. I can't thank him enough, but I try. :) I miss Brazil with all of my heart, and I hope to return there someday.
