What can I say about me? I was only in Brazil for 8 months before going home sick. But I made some good friends and had some good companions that put up with me.
After Brazil, I worked and went to the doctors a lot but to no avail. I finally started feeling better after a half year or so and re-sent my papers to go back out on a mission. I was sent to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. where I was hooked up with Elder Matthew Price who was also sent back to the states from Londrina. My stay in Florida was short lived as I was sent home after 3 months...sick again.
Years later I was finally diagnosed with something...heat stroke. Apparently my body can't take it, so every summer I go through the same things I did in the mission field. Funny huh?
Anyways, I'm married now (my wife waited for me, although it wasn't very long). We have a little 2 year old girl and another on the way. I have a small house in the Seattle area and work for Microsoft. Things are great and I think about Brazil often wishing I could have stayed longer, but the Church is true and I'm glad I was able to serve in a small capacity. |
