Here we are nearly ten years post mission. I married my high school best friend, Jared Stevens, who served a mission in Manaus. We have been married seven and a half years and have three children: Kara (6 yrs), Abigail (2 yrs), and Jacob (1 yr). Jared is in the US Air Force and we have recently moved to Maryland in July 06. I have been called as the second counselor in YW and he is still waiting for a calling. We talk of our missions often and now Kara has asked if she can serve a mission when she grows up. We'll keep praying that she does. We are planning a trip back to Brasil in three years for our ten year wedding anniversary and hope to see our old areas and hopefully a few familiar faces. What a blessing the church has been in our lives. A lot of it stems back to our missions. |
