Elder Gines passed away last night at 9:45 PM at the University of Utah Hospital. As many of you know he has struggled for the past 3+ years with cancer. He fought a good fight and ran the race to the very end. He left behind his wife Charakie, a daughter Cambrie. Charakie is also expecting a new baby boy in 8 weeks who will be named Drew Kimball Gines.
Among his final words were comments about the missionary brothers and sisters who labored with him in the Brazil Brasilia mission. He expressed his love and appreciation for all of you.
The funeral arrangements have not yet been determined but the viewing is planned for Thursday evening and the funeral for Friday. If you wish to find out the actual times please check the obituaries on the website for desnews.com.
