Elder Joel Spencer Gines
Elder Gines passed away last night at 9:45 PM at the University of Utah Hospital. As many of you know he has struggled for the past 3+ years with cancer. He fought a good fight and ran the race to the very end. He left behind his wife Charakie, a daughter Cambrie. Charakie is also expecting a new baby boy in 8 weeks who will be named Drew Kimball Gines.
Among his final words were comments about the missionary brothers and sisters who labored with him in the Brazil Brasilia mission. He expressed his love and appreciation for all of you.
If you wish to drop a note to his wife and daughter their address is:
Mrs. Charakie Gines
1157 E 1700 South
Salt Lake City UT 84105
Our prayers are for him and his family at this time as our daily prayers are with each and every one of you in your trials and opportunities of life. Remember the slogan of the mission,
"Amigos não são selados no templo mas são eternos."
Um forte abraço com muito amor para todos vocés!
