Comments: I can't begin to describe my journey. I've apostasized for the last 17 years, but I can say that only my missionary service keeps me in the church today at all. Since my mission I've served three years as an Army medic, earned a BA The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, organized an arts program in Tacoma that earned a major three year grant, published a poetry book , and received a Colorado Press Association Award for covering the Hi-Meadow Fire. Other than that I've just wasted my time. I am prouder of having served a mission than anything else. I'm grateful to the Lord for having helped me meet the minimum requirements to do that, and I wish I had served better. I thrill to see my wife discover the gospel now. As a professional writer, I find the Book of Mormon the most amazing piece of literature ever written, and that's aside from its spiritual power. Quote it often. Aside from Colorado, I've lived in Korea and Puget Sound. | |
