| Comments: Oi Amigos, A few years ago I wrote that “life is full of surprises” referring to my sudden relocation to Salt Lake City from Virginia (where I was working in the Pentagon). Well, now I can say that life truly is full of surprises. On December 31, 2005, I was married to Simone Vieira. Simone and I had the typical Utah experience of meeting, falling in love, and getting married in a staggering 4 months. Things continue to go well as we are expecting a little boy in September! I am currently serving as 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric of the Taylorsville 5th Ward. If you are in Utah, I encourage you to come by and catch up on your language skills! My two boys Michael (14) and Thomas (10) and now excited to have three step-siblings – Philippe (16), Thiago (14) and Rebeka (14). I still try to get outdoors as much as possible and you can’t beat Utah for fantastic outdoor beauty. I brought our Brazilian Boy Scout Troop to Antelope Island for the coldest March campout ever - and I am glad to say that while none of the Scouts were warm, they did have fun and (more importantly) no one froze to death!
