Wow, I can't believe I've really been home for 7 years!! A whole lot has happened--with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows--but I'll skip to the present. I am currently living in Quito, Ecuador serving as a volunteer in 5 different orphanages (mostly run by Catholic nuns).

My experiences here have taught and re-taught me so much. It's amazing to me how much Father loves his children and how willing he is to care for them. It's been nothing less than a privilege to share a portion of that love. The Lord asks us to be child-like, which is something I've learned on a whole new level from these kids. These children are beautiful, so full of acceptance, unconditional love and forgiveness--and so eager to share. Though starved for individual attention, they are incredibly happy with what they have--which really isn't much at all. The love I feel for them is difficult to express and leaving will break my heart. I find comfort knowing that even though they currently have no family, they do(as do each of us) have a Heavenly Father who loves them more than words can tell. He will care for them, of this I am sure.

I've been here since December and will return to Utah at the beginning of April. For the last 2 years I've been working full time as well as carrying a full load at school. On May 6th I will graduate from USU with a BS in Family, Consumer, and Human Development. I will continue my fulltime employment with USU through the end of the summer and then heaven only knows where I will be--literally :) Maybe California... :)

I hope this finds each of you happy and healthy. The gospel of Jesus Christ is true!! Living it is happiness! What an incredible blessing it is to know that! Each experience in my life gives me the opportunity to grow closer to the Lord and strengthen my testimony of the gospel. For this I am extremely grateful. I would love to hear from any of the missionaries I served with!
