Comments:
I graduated from BYU with a B.A., lived in the Philadelphia area for a while, traveled and made many great friends. Cherie and I were married in October 1995 - Washington DC Temple. We have not been blessed with children, but are waiting to adopt. Cherie currently serves as the 2nd Counselor in Young Women's and I have been the Branch President of the Kendallville Indiana Branch for almost three years now. We lead very busy lives with our callings and feel that all of our youth and children in our Branch fill a great void in our lives. We own an old farmhouse and work on remodeling and decorating with our spare time. It's our "child" for now!
My mission was a wonderful time in my life. I have the opportunity to share many tales with the missionaries in our unit. Cherie served a mission at the same time as I did in the England Coventry Mission. We both loved our experiences. To all the "Party People" who may read this (you know who you are)...I sure miss ya and remember our times in Fresno with humor...now. My Spanish is rusty, but I still have the chance to use it more than I ever thought I would in Indiana. Being a Span-Am was a great opportunity and one that I hold close to my heart.
My testimony is strong and I rely on it very often as I work with others. I wonder continually about those we taught and baptized. I hope they are still active and enjoying the gifts of the gospel. The seeds we planted are growing today and I was thrilled to hear of the Fresno Temple being built. It was often discussed by the members in the areas we served. It was their hope and goal - it has become a reality for them now. Maybe we all had some small part in that. I like to think we did.
