I was first called in Oct 1996 as 2nd Counselor to Pres LeBaron... Dan Padilla was 1st Counselor. Elders Moody and Campbell were APs. IN Nov 1998 my wife Bonnie and I began serving as full time Missionaries, working in the Mission office. we served a total of three Missions in the office from 1998 to 2006. When Pres Padilla was released I was moved to 1st Counselor and served a total of ten years and five months in the Presidency, serving with Pres LeBaron, Pres Christensen, Pres Partridge and Pres Raymond, finally being released in Feb 2007. in 1996 to July 1998 we had an average of 250 FT missionaries..Long Beach Mission was formed from parts of Anaheim and CLAM. This reduced the Stakes we covered from 13 to 8. We lost Long Beach, Long Beach East, Cerritos, and Cerritos West Stakes. Whittier Stake had been reassigned to Arcadia Miaaion about 4 years earlier. After the Long Beach splitoff, Our missionary count was 150 to 200. In our time there we estimate we were acquainted with just over 1000 Elders and Sisters...not counting the Senior Missionaries serving in VC, Fam Hist, Temple, and Institutes. We have stayed in touch with many. It is without question one of our most cherished and loved times of our lives. One more bit of trivia...we provided dinner for all the missionaries for the December Mission Conference for 16 consecutive years from 1994 to 2009. |

My husband, Bob White was taught by Elder Rumsey and Elder Hayes and baptized April 13, 1968 in Wilmington, Ca. He would like to get a hold of them and let them know how well he is doing in the church. |

I was taught the gospel in 1972 by Elders Chamberlain and Elder Sommers. Could you help me contact them. If anyone knows where they are OR how to reach them on Facebook that would be great! I don't know their first names. I have been active in the church since my baptism and I married in the Temple and have four great children and two grandchildren. I now have a son serving in the Pocatello Idaho mission. Love the gospel, love the church! |
