Phil Hadden

(Nov 1976 - Dec 1978)

"I came to the Winnipeg Mission within the first year of it's organization. My first area was Prince Albert with Randy Simper. From there I went to Melfort where I had Cory Nelson then Glenn Paulsen as comps. I was transferred to Portage La Prairie to Elder Tony Hettich. He was replaced by David Joe Hansen then Lowell Dunn. From Portage I went to Winnipeg and the West End. Elder Dunn and I were transferred together after closing Portage to missionary work. After some five months as his comp, Elder Dunn was given a reprieve and transferred elsewhere. Elder Mark Heslop took Elder Dunn's place but that lasted only a short time before I was transferred to Saskatoon. ELder Puckett and I were comps there for a short time when Elder Dwayne McOmie came to S'toon. We spent several months together before Pres. Lund closed our area. I went back to Winnipeg to Elder David Chandler and finally Ryan Dyches.
It was an incredable experince and I've got such fond memories of my mission. I would love to get in touch with any and all of the "gang" from the greatest mission on earth!
After coming home I attended Ricks College and BYU, met and married Cathy Clark and moved to Maryland where I spent 8 years in the building construction business. We have since moved to Salt Lake City where I have worked for the airlines over nine years. We have two daughters that wonderful and we've been blessed over the years in many ways."
