When I returned from the mission field, I attended the University of Utah and graduated in 1981 with a BA in Accounting. While there, I met and married Annette Morrison in July of 1979. I am a CPA and have worked for Chevron Corp. since 1982 in various finance management positions. I am presently the Regional Finance Officer - Asia Pacific for Chevron, Corp., and reside in Singapore.
Annette and I have two grown children. Both girls, Michelle and Lisa who graduated from BYU and were married in 2000 and 2003 repspectively. We now also have 4 grandchildren, Landon (5), Sydney (3), Karli (1), and Keely (.5). Since the mission, we have lived in Utah, Minnesota, back to Utah, California, Montana, back to California, Colorado, Texas, and as of June 1, 2009 -- as an EXPAT in Singapore.
In 1998, I had the opportunity to visit Chile on buisness and flew to Puerto Montt for the weekend to attend church in Puerto Varas. Much to my surprize, it was Stake Conference! I served in Puerto Varas shortly after the city was openned for missionary work. At that time, there was only a branch there with about 35 members. We rented an old house for Sunday Services. Much different than the nice chapel now standing on the hill overlooking the lake. It was fun to see the church growth and to renew old acquaintences.
