Comments: Kit and I were engaged before our missions: I in Chile, he in Brazil. We married three weeks after I got home. We have five children and lived New Jersey for 20 years while Kit was a professor at Rutgers University. We also lived for a year each in Portugal, Mexico, and Spain. Kit now teaches Portuguese literature at BYU. I was home with my children until they were in school. I was an assistant dean at Livingston College, Rutgers University and, after we moved to Utah in 1992, I was managing editor of BYU Studies. I now teach basic editing skills (semi-retired) at BYU. My oldest son, Christopher, went to the Santiago North mission under President Schmidt. He also returned to be architect of the remodeling of the Santiago Temple. Our other two sons served in Brazil and California Spanish speaking. Our daughters married Spanish speaking returned missionaries. Viva la raza. As for Church callings, you name it, we've done it. |
