I am a retired social worker (34 yrs....30 yrs. in Child Protective Services), and currently serve as an assistant principal at an elementary school here in Salt Lake City. In my profession, I have had the opportunity to use my Spanish almost daily for over 30 years. My wife, Nicia, is a counselor at a junior high school.
I have only one child, a son (Aaron), who is 27 yrs. old and is trying to get into the graduate school of Business at BYU.
Elder Ron McKean and I have re-connected (a few years ago) and we talk frequently. (He's still really funny). My wife is one of the choristers in the ward and I am one of the instructors in the priesthood class. In a few more years, we would like to serve on a couple's mission...if our health holds out. I would love to hear from any of the former Chilean missionaries who served from '66 to '68, including my former companions that were not listed above: Elders Huling (sp.?), Osorio, Rushton, Verdugo, and Leyton. I would love to re-visit Chile sometime in the future and would be willing to travel with a group of former Chilean missionaries and their spouses.
