Comments: I married the woman who waited for me while I was Chile in December, 1966, having returned in October. We complete our 40th anniversary tomorrow. We have 5 wonderful chldren, four daughters and one son, all of whom have been through the temple, three of whom served missions (the son in the Viña del Mar mission), and all of whom were married in the temple, if they are married (last one, Mitch, is not married-finishes up his BS in meteorology at Oklahoma University this spring). I have lived in Albuquerque, NM, except for my three years in the Army during the Viet Nam era and one year after graduate school at the University of NM. I was on the east coast in those years, Washington, D.C. or Baltimore, MD.
Four of our kids went to BYU, Mitch being the exception, and three graduated from BYU, one from Truman University in Kirksville, MO. Kids live in Murray, Utah, Denver, CO, Fayetteville, NC, Pearl River, NY, and Norman, OK. The current geographical spread is good for us since once we had them in Germany, Chile, Poland, Washington State, and Michigan all at the same time.
I have 7 grand children, 4 step-grand children.
I've been blessed to have held almost every call a male member can have at the ward and stake level, some twice, (never a Seventy, ward mission leader, Scout master, or stake president ). Currently I'm serving in a stake presidency.
Nora and I was able to return to Chile to accompany our son home when he finished his mission. I would return every year were it possible. Hope to live there for part of the year when I retire in 5 years.
I am looking forward to visiting with some of you through this website. |
