After my mission, I finished my undergraduate work both here at home in San Diego and at BYU-Provo. I then married my sweetheart, Margaret, and together we went to Los Angeles for me to attend Chiropractic College. After receiving my degree and passing the State Board in 1982, I joined my father in practice back in San Diego and have been there ever since. I have six children and eleven grandchildren. I have served on the High Council in my stake twice and as Bishop twice, once in a Spanish Branch, which felt like I was back on my mission. My most favorite callings have been involved with missionary work, teaching a Missionary Prep. Institute class, Ward Mission Leader, Stake Mission President and now as Second Counselor in the California San Diego Mission. I'm anxiously working toward retirement and now with a son having recently joined the practice, it won't be long until my wife and I can hopefully return to Chile on a Senior Couple Mission. I can't believe where the time has gone, it just seems like yesterday I was hanging out the door of a micro flying down the busy streets of Santiago on my way to another teaching appointment with a wonderful Chilean family. |
