Comments: Elder Cooper and I traveled by train from Curico to see Fidel Castro standing in front of La Moneda in 1972. Did anyone else have that experience? A memorable moment. I returned to Chile in May 2001 and worked one day with my nephew in the Concepcion Mission. What a thrill it was! I traveled to Cuba for six days in 2000 for a birding excursion and passed out folletos de Jose Smith. What a blast I had! Recently finished 18 months as Branch Clerk for the Rama Once in Gilbert, AZ. Am now organizing Gilbert's Fifth Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service and recently organized Gilbert Stake's Mens' Softball League. Additional comp's were: a) Dale Terry and Noe Valadez/Puente Alto; b) Luis Davila Garcia/Curico; c) Smith/Quillota; d) Rex Spendlove/Mission Home; e) Carlisle/Copiapo. I also have fond memories of Elder Carter in Copiapo District; Elders Ray and Brashier in Limache; Hermanas Houser and Ceppi in Nunoa District; Elders Turner and Norgren, Pres. and Sister Glade in the Mission Home. It was an unalloyed pleasure serving with such wonderful persons as representatives of the Savior. |
