We are very happy living in Mountain Green, Utah. We have been extremely blessed with four wonderful children who have grown into happy productive adults serving the Lord. My wife and I are now living alone and have recently been blessed with our first grandchild, Lylian. Our eternal family means everything to us. We have many kind neighbors and friends in this area. We love the Gospel and serving our Heavenly Father. We are busy researching our genealogy and compiling a vast family history.
BYU has a special place in my heart since I met my Eternal Sweetheart in Provo. I am an avid follower of BYU Sports.
Some of our fellow missionaries live here in Mountain Green. I see Elder Simonsen and Elder Miles. I talked with President Wall before he passed away and attended his funeral in Layton, Utah. I have the funeral program and his son looks just like him.
I still have my trunk box full of pictures and papers. Whenever a family member is called to serve a mission, I immediately take out my box and share my mission memories with them.
When I look at my papers, I reflect on the greatest memories like the new members dressed in white which brings peace to my heart and experiences with each missionary. Holyoak was a farm boy with a simple testimony. Frosty took the coldness out of me after arriving from the military. Nobody was stronger than Leavitt physically, yet he was one of the most humble. Boongard was obedient and patient. Bowman never yielded his fervent faith. Womack showed me that long suffering brings forth blessings. Black endured to the end. We grew in humility learning the meaning of the 4th section. I love each one of you for what you gave freely and taught me. You have made me a better person today. When I have struggles, you give me great strength.
