After finishing my mission in October of 1982, I returned to school at the University of Idaho, then returned to Colombia in August of 1983. There I got engaged to Margarita Rosa Pastrana de la Ossa of Cartagena (Alpes). We were married civily in Sahagun, Cordoba the following August 11th. We had a Church ceremony later that day in the chapel in Sincelejo that I helped to build by the branch president, Pres. Catalan, who Elder Franco and I baptized. We were later sealed in the Seattle temple.
We now have four beautiful children, Jennifer (20), Sam (19), Nichole (18) and Bill (10). We live in the Los Angeles area where I work as an electrical engineer building communication satellites for what was Hughes Aircraft but is now Boeing Satellite Systems.
I am currently serving as a counselor in the bishopric, after having spent a couple years as Ward Mission Leader, all the time wishing I was back teaching Primary. My son Sam is getting ready to go on his mission now and I am feeling very old. |
