Believe it or not, I just got back from my first return trip to Bogota. Wow! You see, my parents were called as full-time missionaries to work in the Bogota temple when it opened. They arrived a few days before the dedication, and we showed up to meet them just as their 18 months were finished. I still can't believe everything we did on this trip. We attended the temple and did all of the different ordinances for some of the ancestors of Berenice Munoz, a sister that John Peterson and I baptized way back in 1981. We had dinners with the Temple President, the Bogota MTC President, Armando Puccini (a temple sealer), Berenice Munoz, and their families. We saw General Conference by direct cable while sitting with the new missionaries in the Bogota MTC. I was blown away. It was an awesome trip! |
