I thought I saw in a message at one point a website for a local San Jose phone directory. Does anyone know what that might be?
Better yet, does anyone know how to contact David Romero or Luis Villalobos?
My daughter is going to study abroad in San Jose and we are looking for a family that might be interested in renting a room and living with their family.
Please let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks

Brian Maxwell has asked me to head up a reunion committee for the temple dedication here in Panama, sometime in the summer of 2008. We will wait until the prophet announces a date for the open house and dedication, but we would like to know who may be interested in coming to Panama at that time so that we can plan some kind of a reunion!
Please let us know!
Thanks,
Dewey J. Levie

Burk

Carol Jenkins, whose son was recently called to the Costa Rica San Jose Mission, is trying to get him ready to go. She asks the following:
My son Ken is going to the Costa Rica mission in June. We live in Montana and I am looking for some of his clothing. How often do the missionaries wear their suit? Most suits are dry clean only. Can missionaries in this area find a dry cleaner? Which is better, a 100% cotton shirt or a cotton/poly white shirt? What is the best fabric for pants, a polyester blend or something else? Any other clothing "hints" anyone can give me? Thanks.
Please reply to Sister Jenkins at sixjenkin@msn.com.

To our Missionaries:
Sister Acosta and I would like you to know that procedure to repair the hole found in President's heart went very well. I am home and in great health. I thank all of you for the prayers offered in my behalf.
As a reminder, April 20th at 6:30pm at the Provo Temple will be our missionary endowment session. We are to meet at the rooms located near the cafeteria area, downstairs. Please come with your new name already given to you.
Have a great week and we look forward to seeing you this coming friday.

President Acosta met with a heart specialist after the discovery of a small hole in his heart. President Acosta will enter the Utah Valley Hospital for a one day procedure to correct that anomality in his heart. The doctor who will perform the procedure is Dr. Freshnecht, who is considered one of the best.
President & Sister Acosta ask for your prayers and will let all of you know how it all works out. The procedure is scheduled for Wednesday April 11th. President will return home the same day at 5PM.
We love all you. President & Sister Acosta

Does anybody have any tidbits of History of the Church in Panama?
I am putting together a timeline, and anything that you have would be welcome.
Sister Dalis Noya has put together a beautiful Power Point presentation with much information and beautiful photos of some of the history of the Church here in Panama.
If you have photos that you would like to contribute, please scan them at a fairly high resolution and e-mail to me and please include a caption or explanation of the photo!
Thanks,

I have been asked to get together a committee to gather the history of the Church in Panama to put in the time capsule which will go in the cornerstone of the Panama City, Panama Temple. Would you please look through your old missionary journals and let me know the people who you feel were instrumental in the History of the Church in Panama so that I can try to contact them and invite them to participate! Also beware that I will probably be following up with posts requesting tidbits of information and confirming dates and facts from your journals. I think that this is a great opportunity to find those who have particiapated in the past but who are now less active and invite them to participate and to get ready to participate in the dedication of the Panama Temple. Thanks for your help and support in this endeavor!

Dear Elders and Sisters,
Elder Luis & Julietta Chaverri will be attending April conference and there are many days that Elder Chaverri will be busy in Quorum meetings and he is worried about Julietta not having anything to do.
Might there be a returned sister missiionary in the SLC area who might have some free time and could perhaps show sister Chaverri around.
Please contact them directly in spanish at ChaverriLG@ldsmail.net or give me a call at (928) 277-4388.
Thanks,
Dewey J. Levie

Hey everyone, I have a huge favor to ask...I am trying to track down a family from Zapote. I served there in 2001 and taught Julio and Maria Ellena. I dont have their last names with me at the current time...sorry. Maria Ellena is related to Henry who was the ward secretary for several years. Henry had a son that was severely disabled and passed away a little after i came home (summer of 2001). If someone has contact information of any of these guys I would greatly appreciate it.
Con amor-
