Comments:
After getting married to my wonderful wife, Leslie, we moved to Phoenix, Arizona for Leslie to start Physician Assistant school. She graduated in 2005 shortly before our first son, Conner, was born. I graduated from Arizona State University in 2006 with my BA in Psychology. In 2007 our little family moved to College Station, Texas for me to start on my Master's in Public Health(MPH) degree. In 2008, we welcomed our second son, Nikolas, to our family. Nikolas was born with a chromosomal 10 deletion which at age 6 month caused his kidneys to fail. He spent much of his first 1-2 year of life at Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas. Although he has the mental capacity of a 1 year old, he has a special place in our family. We welcomed our first daughter, Carmendy, shortly before I finished my degree in 2009. In 2010 we moved to Spring, TX where I gained employment with the Texas State Health Department. My work, which I truly love, focuses on seven rural counties that lack local health departments. My job responsiblities are geared towards injury prevention. I recently discovered my true public health passion in mental public health/suicide prevention. We welcomed our fourth child, Zachary, in late 2012. I love loving in southerneast Texas because there is a huge Czech heritage here. We also love living about 15 minutes away from the Houston Temple. Gig' Em!
