| Comments: The Dominican Republic was part of the Florida Fort Lauderdale mission when the country was opened to missionaries in 1979. It was also part of the Puerto Rico San Juan mission until the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo mission was formed in 1981. President Millet served as the mission president over the Dominican Republic from 1979-1981 and is considered to be the "Father" of the mission. | |
