Congratulations on your mission call! My oldest son, Dale, has also been called to the Santo Domingo East Mission. He'll enter the MTC on the 27 of January. If you haven't already, you'll soon receive plenty of information on what you need to take with you and what you need to do prior to leaving. Bug repellent is tops on the list as is a flashlight. Apparently daily power outages are the norm! It's humid with temperatures averaging in the 80s with 70+% humidity, so be prepared to sweat! We've been told the people are very friendly, humble, and receptive. Hope you enjoy your mission!
